Helpful tips and tricks for teething babies


Teething in your babies makes them impatient, irritant, disturbs sleep, and cause excess drooling. So, here are some tips and tricks by the mothers used for their babies;

Frozen items: Teething causes sore gums, and the baby starts chewing everything that he gets his hands on. So, to relieve the sore gums, mothers usually give frozen things for the baby to chew, like;
     Frozen fruits like frozen strawberry, mango, apple, melon, and cucumber.
     Frozen clothes can also be given to the baby to chew on to relieve baby’s soreness.
     Take the mesh baby feeders and put some ice in them and then give it to the baby to chew it.
     Frozen foods like frozen bagels, waffles, etc.

One of the oldest tricks used by Indian mothers is that they give honey-filled nipples toys to chew on.

Massage your child’s gums with a clean finger or with the back of the cold spoon.

Give the wooden spoon to the baby to chew by rubbing a little amount of cinnamon or clove oil on it. Cinnamon and clove are the natural analgesics which numb the soreness of the gums of the babies.

Teething rings that vibrate on chewing can also be beneficial in this case.

Feed the babies with a small amount of ice cream.

Tie the teething necklace around the neck of the baby; its scientific reason is unknown. It is a viral trick used by the mothers since olden times.

Ask the dentist for product recommendation like some ointments to numb the baby’s gums.

Give them a small and soft-bristled toothbrush to chew on; this satisfies the baby.

Keep the wash clothes and binkys in the freezer and then give them to the baby to suck and chew on.
